Concept pic for a Storm Bolter.

I thought I might try a total conversion. Its another project waiting on a decent cashflow though. I wanted to try something totally off the wall, something fantasy rather than real steel, so I went looking for some inspiration. I found it in the Warhammer 40K Storm bolter. Its a Games Workshop thing from a tabletop wargame.

I figured on making a box from scratch to fit round the receiver from an M4 or M16. Mostly cosmetic, it will just bolt onto the M4/16 through the feild strip body pins. The magazine will be hidden inside the Storm Bolter's huge double mag, which I could build into a hicap box mag, if I actually ever get roung to making it. The battery goes into the back end of the Bolter's frame.

I figure it will make a totally unique and eyecatching CQB weapon, visually stunning while remaining usefull.

**UPDATE** Started working on a Standard Boltgun, cos I a) had the materials, and b) still might make the Stormbolter out of my old M16 :D

Parts list.
